What is the Mix Matters Tool?
An interactive app that methodically assists the user in quickly and easily choosing the best possible mix of seed products for their entire farm, in every year, based on agronomic needs, environmental considerations, and product suitability.
Why does the MMT matter?
Because this custom app can be used to determine the right products on every field and the right mix for every farm, in every year. Because it offers product recommendations quickly and easily, it offers the user the ability to agronomically consider all fields in depth before creating a seed order, and ultimately to create a seed order that maximizes farm R.O.I.
How does the MMT offer users better performance from LG Seeds products?
Product performance comes from the interaction of the seed’s genetic attributes with the environment, both soil and weather, and the grower’s field management practices. How well a product is chosen for the soil and weather challenges of each field, and how effectively the product is managed throughout the growing season, directly impacts that product’s performance. The MMT provides all users the best possible advice for building superior seed plans in a simple, mobile friendly format.
Will the MMT recommend the absolute best seed product on every field, every time?
No tool is perfect, just as no person is perfect. The MMT can only offer advice based on what it “knows,” but it cannot know everything the customer, dealer, District Sales Manager, and Agronomist know. It does offer all who use it the opportunity to have thorough conversations on more fields than is currently possible without the tool. When users have good reasons to consider products other than the top products recommended by the MMT, the tool is designed to offer those other choices as well.
Will Growers and Dealers still need their LG Seeds Team?
Of course, as it’s a tool, not an Agronomist, not a DSM, and not a Dealer. Tools assist us, not the other way around. If used correctly, tools make us more efficient, more productive, our results more repeatable, and our tasks a little easier.
Who benefits from using the MMT?

Agronomist: This tool enables Agronomists to be more effective and more efficient, offering every team member, dealer, and customer access to their agronomic and product expertise on every call, and every product decision with specific recommendations that uniquely apply to their local area without the ambiguity that company-wide recommendations create.
