Compressing Files for use with Advantage Acre

This example uses un-zipped VRx’s that need to be emailed from a Dealer to a Customer, but due to the size of the file, are too large to be emailed in one un-zipped message. The solution is to Zip, or Compress, all the VRx’s files for 6 fields into one Zipped file.        

1.  Go to the File Browser, locate the folder containing the files you wish to Zip.
2. Left Click on the top file to highlight it Blue, hold the Shift Key down and Left Click on the last file to highlight all files Blue. Right Click to open the first window, Left Click on Send To, opening second window, Left Click on Compressed (zipped) folder.
3. The Compressed (Zipped) Folder appears at the bottom of the files list, with the .zip file type at the end of the file name, which is in Name Edit mode. You can Save as is by Left Clicking on the screen, or edit the name and click to Save.
4. The Zipped file is now a Zipped Folder, displaying the folder icon and ending with .zip. All un-zipped files still remain, along with the Zipped File Folder.

Compressed (Zipped) files may be emailed, or they may be uploaded to platforms such as Advantage Acre and Climate FieldView when the application calls for Zipped Files only.
